You directly provide our company with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

  • Complete a consent form for your child when registering for our services
  • Register online for any of our services
  • Voluntarily provide feedback on any of our social media posts or via email

How will we use your data?

Our company collects your data so that we can:

  • Email you with updates and special offers for our services we think you might like
  • Contact you or any other emergency contact on your list in case of an emergency

If you agree, details of your child’s name, date of birth, address and parent/guardians contact number will be passed onto the local council to qualify for a licence to perform if your child participates in a performance, competition or showcase under YGM Dance Academy.

How do we store your data?

Our company securely stores your data onto the YGM Dance Academy computer software which is password protected. Only the director has access to this information. Staff members at YGM Dance Academy will have access to emergency contact information and medical information they need to be aware of. This information will only be available on staff registers and will be destroyed after the relevant retaining period.

If your child is on a waiting list, YGM Dance Academy will retain your details including name, address, phone number and email address. These details will be destroyed if your child does not attend any classes, or will be added onto the database and stored securely if your child does attend.

YGM Dance Academy will securely store personal visual data such as photographs or video recordings; in which permission has been granted through the general consent form and detailed in the terms and conditions; on the computer software which is password protected. The photographs or video recordings will be used only for marketing, social media and evaluation purposes.

Marketing

Our company would like to send you information about products and services of ours that we think you might like.

If you have agreed to subscribe to our updates and to receive marketing from us, you may opt out at a later date. If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, please send an email confirming you would like to unsubscribe and we will remove you from any further marketing or update emails.
